Grove Collaborative Review and My 2nd Order

My order from Grove Collaborative arrived today after only being shipped a few days ago, so naturally I had to write a post about it because I was so excited!

Before we get into the products that I bought (and the ones I didn't, you'll see what I mean in a minute), I want to tell you about how I found out about this great ethical company and my experience so far...

One day I was just browsing through Facebook and came across an advertisement on my newsfeed which was someone telling of why they love Grove and that when you sign up and spend a minimum of $20 you received some free products and free 60 day VIP Trial. I was intrigued so I clicked on the link, read about it more and I ended up giving it a try and signed up. I made up the $20 quite easily with things that Ben and I needed for the home including a vegetable brush, biodegradable sandwich bags, some fair trade rubber gloves and a couple of other items. Everything arrived in good condition and I was excited to try the free products, and the vegetable brush so Ben and I can wash our veggies more effectively. Any bottles of soap, washing up liquid or sprays are taped down so there isn't any spills to fret about! I was really happy with the experience I was having so far so I decided to do some more research and explore their website. I've organised the main information I found out below so read on folks!

Things I love about Grove Collaborative so far:

- Great customer service with a personal touch. If you email them they get back to you within two working days and are very helpful and friendly. You're even assigned your own Grove guide.

- Price matching service for VIP members. I've used this twice and on both occasions they changed the price on the item for me, which saved me around $2 each time.

- Low price shipping straight to your door at $2.99 or free if you're a VIP member and it's carbon offset at no extra cost.

- They only stock household and personal products with the highest ethical standards. My mum has always been conscious of products that she uses, and those are values that I have grown to be passionate about over the years as well.

- If you're unsure if the service will work for you then they offer a free 60 day VIP trial where you get to experience what it's like to be a Grove VIP member. This is how I got started and you can try it for yourself and receive $10 off a future order here.*

Now let us get into the products next!

Here's a run down on what I received in this my second order:

- Aura Cacia Grapefruit Essential Oil

- Aura Cacia Eucalyptus Essential Oil

- Grove Collaborative Mint and Argan Lip Balm

- Caldrea Countertop Spray (Ginger Pomelo Fragrance)

- Grove Collaborative Walnut and Cellulose Scrubber Sponges (Pack of 2)

You can see these products in the pictures below. After you've had a look, keep scrolling to keep reading!

Now I said that I would tell you about the products that I bought and didn't buy, so now I'll explain to you what I meant by that. After you've made your initial $20 minimum purchase on your first order, you only need to spend a minimum of $10 each month thereafter to qualify for the free shipping to your home (providing you're a VIP member). The two essential oils came to just over $10 after the thrifty use of their price match service (it's great, seriously) so I was all set to go for this months shipment! So the items I didn't buy... The lip balm was a free gift for VIP members, the countertop spray was after I shared information and recommended a friend to Grove, and the sponges were free because every so often they do a scheme for new customers but existing customers received a pack of those.

I can't wait to start using all the products I received this month. I love this company already so you'll probably see more posts about them in the coming months.

I hope you've enjoyed reading about my experience with Grove so far. Thanks for sticking with me if you're reading from the UK as I'm sorry that you won't be able to use the links in this post! But hopefully it'll inspire you to see what ethical companies you can find where you are. If you reading this in the states and would like to give it a shot and receive $10 credit, click here.* Have you ordered from Grove before? What's your experience been like? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, take care all and thanks for reading!

Kathryn.
